Be The Vibe

Execute all five exercises below to ”Be The Vibe.”

Challenge yourself by setting these daily intentions:

1. Mindful Monday - What does it mean? - the meaning you place on things determines your reaction to them. Consciously choose the meaning you give to conversations, events, and obstacles today. Nothing has meaning until we give meaning to it. Focus on managing “the meaning” this Monday.

2. Take Action Tuesday - Do something hard - one of the best ways to build confidence is to do hard things. Identify something hard to do that you could attempt today, even if there’s only a 1% chance of success. Give it 100% and see what happens. Nothing to lose!

3. Winsday - Are you enough? - are you happy with who you are? The best are never satisfied, yet there needs to be a time when you recognize you are enough as you are. Be content with your achievements up to today. Being content for a day will not make you complacent. Permit yourself to feel successful today.

4. Thinking Thursday - Thoughts create emotions - what you choose to think about has a powerful impact on your emotions. Your emotions have a powerful impact on your decisions, actions, and even your lack of decision-making. Choose an emotion you want to feel today and think three thoughts that will ignite the emotion within you.

5. Feeling Friday - Fact vs. Fiction - how much of what you believe is fact vs. fiction? Is the world a safe place? Can you become one of the best? Are you capable of more? Question the truth behind the beliefs that hold you back the most. Make a case for why they are true and why they are not. Question your false truths. 

Results - create your reality, build confidence, realize you are enough, raise your vibe, and question limiting beliefs.

Emotional self-awareness

What are you feeling right now and what’s fueling it?

Answer three simple questions to immediately gain control over your reality.

Step 1 - Name the feeling - label how you feel. (Guilt, happiness, peace)

Step 2 - Identify the fuel - which thoughts, actions, or events fuel it.

Step 3 - Fuel it or shift focus - does this feeling serve you or not?

If what you’re feeling serves you, keep fueling it by staying focused on it.

If what you’re feeling does not serve you, shift your focus, energy, and attention elsewhere.

This is simple to understand but challenging to execute on.

Find Your Focus

Where are you placing your energy and attention

What you focus on expands and your mind seeks more of the same.

If you look for trouble you’ll find it.

Look for peace and happiness and you’ll find that too.

One of the best ways to improve your focus is to use visual reminders.

Use my favorite reminder, Post It notes.

Focus on better food choices by placing a Post it note on your fridge that asks;

“Making the smartest choice?"

This shifts your focus from a habitual pattern to one of choice.

Choice can only happen when you’re consciously awake to the fact that one exists.

Use Post It notes to break patterns through interruption.

You’ll quickly feel in control of your focus, choices, and decisions more often.

Build It & Break It

Habits simplified

Habit formation - how can you make a good habit easier to do?

Example: place floss next to your toothbrush.

Habit breaking - how can you make a bad habit harder to do?

Example: take the batteries out of your TV’s remote control after every use.

This is a simple start to building and breaking habits.

Money Making Mindset

Building an abundance mindset

Beliefs around money are the most likely cause of not having enough of it.

  • “The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.”

  • “Money is the root of all evil.”

  • “Money can’t buy you happiness.”

Do any of these sound familiar?

Beliefs are ideas we hold true BUT that doesn’t necessarily mean they are true.

Challenge your beliefs.

Find three facts to disprove your current belief.

Are they easier to disprove than you would have thought?

Maybe now is the time to challenge the limiting beliefs holding you back?

Change the way you look at things and things change

The perspective pyramid is a simple way to view challenging situations.

Imagine 3 unique perspectives:

  1. Your perspective.

  2. A contradictory perspective.

  3. The perspective of someone you look up to.

Next time you’re seeking answers, truth, or a way to overcome obstacles, lean into the perspective pyramid.

It expands your thoughts instead of constricting them to solely your own.

It reminds us that most of the emotions we feel are the result of our imagination.

How much of what you feel is real vs imagined?

  • Frustration is reimagining the past.

  • Stress is imagining things in the future.

Where you think determines how you feel.

Think in the present moment to gain more control over your emotions and your life.
